My takes on Eastern Europe

Fresh from my recent adventures out in the Eastern side of our beloved Europe, I puzzled over on the valuable lessons I have learned during my 2 months stay there. Sitting on my friend’s cozy black sofa, I decided to unseal my thoughts.

Money is not happiness

1d66204c-3cce-46e2-8c80-fbd96200a2fbWestern Europe is known as the financial powerhouse. Minimum salary in France and Germany is around 9 Euros per hour while people in the East earn 9 times less. Surprisingly, I never heard any complains from anyone over there. There are no strikes, nor any massive social or political movements, except for Serbians positive support rally for Donald Trump. Meanwhile, enough have been heard and said in the West. Bulgaria and Serbia are two of the poorest countries in the European peninsula behind Ukraine. But their citizens are proud of their culture and heritage. They love to party, probably every night. If you don’t believe me, spend two nights in Belgrade. Happiness goes a long way from making money. Sometimes it’s about filling the other holes in your life.

Hardcore mentality

These  countries were ruled by the former Soviet Union. Serbians went through 2 wars not too long ago against their neighbors. Hence, the warrior-like mentality. Trained since childhood to be strong and independent, they rarely complain This comes from the fact that they are not the richest people in the world which incorporates hard working mentality within them. They know that hard work is necessary for them to survive. You will find tough people here, mentally and physically. Meanwhile, the Frenchies would go on a strike for the simplest of things. Despite 35 hours of working hours per week with cigarette and coffee break included, they still want less. Guys and girls here are alpha. I’ve seen more buffed up guys in Serbia and Bulgaria than any other countries I have visited. A skinny guy can feel intimidated here. I started working out back since coming back to France. This served as a reminder to stay healthy and fit wherever I am.

Warmth and honesty

Give them respect and they will pour you with love. Mess with them, they will show you hell. I have met one of the most honest people ever during my stay in the Baltics and the Balkans. Ask for directions and be prepared to hear, “What, tell me quick” or “What you want”.I would not blame you for misunderstanding their honesty as rudeness. I fell in that trap too. People today are polite to preserve their own self-image or just to please others. You won’t see much of these in the East. A Lithuanian friend said to me, “Everybody who comes to Vilnius says that it is an amazing city, but they can’t tell me what is so amazing.” Social programming exists everywhere, but the East is less contaminated by this virus. Life here is simple and straightforward. Honesty is very much appreciated.

The girls

You can see this in Lithuania

If you are a guy then you are in for a treat. I live in France and love French girls. But nothing beats the tall, long-haired, light complexion of a Lithuanian girl. If you like leggy girls, with silky black hair with darker complexion then be prepared to be mesmerized by the Balkans. They might maintain some distance from you at the beginning , but they will not play any games with you. I have met many travelers, and at least 90 % of them agreed that the Balkans girls are by far the most beautiful in the world. The woman to man ratio in the Baltics is quite high. About 70 % of students in Lithuanian universities are girls. Imagine that!!! Serbia was a difficult place for me, but Lithuania was different. I regret only staying for a week there. But it’s a country that I will surely check out again in the near future.

The prices

It’s dead cheap. A meaty dinner with a big garlic bread and a pint of beer will cost you around 8 to 10 Euros in Belgrade. Yes, I am talking about high-end restaurants. 3 months of salary in Western Europe will last for 9 months in the East. A one bedroom apartment will cost you around 150 Euros of rent per month. The same haircut that cost me 5 Euros in Belgrade would cost 15 Euros in France. Ukraine, Serbia, and Bulgaria should be at the top of the list of a digital nomad who wants to live in Europe. I might move there to one day.

I went there thinking that the exotic factors would be a plus. It was a slight plus in the Baltics but not in Serbia or Bulgaria. Hordes of infectious refugee seeking temporary stay played a certain role. Being dark-skinned, I was sometimes misunderstood as a refugee. Dressing better surely helped me getting over this problem. Girls here are not used to having Indian guys approaching them, they probably never even seen one before. Hence, be prepared to approach more. Take a look at my Belgrade Misadventures those seeking further details. I met more experienced gamers here, and even they are having a hard time. Major capital cities in the Eastern Europe are suffering from PUA’s burnout, Belgrade is one of them. Remember that you are competing with the  local alpha guys , your game has to be top-notch. You can try Tinder or OK Cupid, but these aren’t real game are they?

Toulouse City Review

Tolouse city review

City overview:

This review came a bit late as I have been having fun in Lithuania(more on that in my next blog), I spent three weeks in Toulouse from the end of June to the middle of July before leaving for my Eastern Europe adventure. I have no words for Toulouse, the city, the vibe and the people are excellent. Apart from their “accent du sud”, which is sometimes hilarous Toulouse is a city that I would live in for a long, long time. With around 1 million of population and being the best student city in France, Toulouse is a dream city for any player or people looking for a happy decent life in a big city

Lots of friendly girls. Lots and lots of them. They are very approachable and rejection comes in a subtle way. I got rejected a lot here but most of them were polite in a real honest way(not like the typical French bullshit). Lots of latino girls as Toulouse is just a few hours from Spain. I even approached one Bolivian girl and a Venezuelan girl here. I spent my time here at the beginning of summer, the city was booming on the first week but after that it was quite empty without many young chicks of my age. Most of them go on vacations to somewhere else.

Go direct. Local girls here are not as bitchy as local girls in other part of France. The will talk and give you a chance especially if you are a foreigner. I meet lots of chicks who were interested in my background but not me as a lover. The first week my game was bad, I did lots of conversation but did not close any of them. The second and third week were better and I nearly closed a petite french girl(from my previous article) but missed out for some mind set reason. I would recommended this city for students very much and for tourist, stay at least or a week to get any results.

Night venues:

I went out at night twice to do some game and dancing. The first time I managed to get a Venezuelan girl interested in me. I met her in a latino pub called El Dorado. She told me that she will be going to Opium, a night club. I was stupid enough not to bring any cash and we could not enter the night club. Girl missed!!!!

El Dorado : Party till 3 am. Party like south american’s. They party hard and the best at doing it. Good musics and hot latino chicks. The bouncers can be a big head ache, I nearly got thrown out the second time I was here just for approaching a hot latino. Brown guy in a wrong place!!

Le Saint de Sein :The Saint of Breast if translated in English. A pub playing french songs with people dancing on the tables. The bouncer was friendly towards me at least. A bar with lots of french chicks. They were average looking but very drunk. Didn’t do any approaches here.

Check RooshvForum, Toulouse datasheet for further info on night venues.

Day game venues :

Rue Alsace Loraine : The busiest street in the city with lots of girls. It’s the main shopping street. A park in the middle and benches to sit. You can run eagle game, fox game or practically any kind of daygame here. I did most of approaches here and got all my number close here.

Quai de la Garonne : Along the river Garonne. Lots of youth partying and drinking. Good if you have wingman or someone who can approach a group of people. You can stumble upon girls reading books or just enjoying the view.

Campus : I didn’t game here. But Toulouse has been voted the best student city in France for the past two years. A sure hit daygame venue except for summer as students go back home during this time.

Towards Esquirol : Esquirol is a place not far away from the city center. A couple of bars and people walking on the streets. A good daygame venue

Conclusion : Logistics were bad here for me as I was staying with friends. I nearly closed a girl but my lack of experience screwed me up. I got numbers after numbers, but all flaked as my phone game was pretty lame I guess. Nevertheless, Toulouse is a must visit city. If you are visiting Barcelona, do pass by and stay in Toulouse. Enjoy the southern sun and the girls.

City Review : Lyon,France

City Overview:

In France,Lyon has the 2nd biggest metropolitan population after Paris. It is full of young and old people as well as students. Just 3 hours of train from Paris and 3 hours of bus from Turin, Lyon is a must visit city for those who adore 2nd tier city. Unlike Paris, Lyon is filled with local French and second generation Arab immigrants.

The girls:

I never gamed in Paris, so I won’t compare Parisian girls with “Les Lyonnaises”. However, I will say that girls in Lyon are friendlier than their neighbors in Grenoble. As the population is bigger, there are more girls to be approached and there are very little social consequences as it is impossible to meet them again by accident. During summer, there are lots of tourist and there are plenty of students during the rest of the year. French is not compulsory but appreciated as English speaker can be found quite often.

I like direct game and did some daygame sessions during my stay here. I came upon Krauser’s Begineer Daygame Book and applied his teachings. It worked wonders. I realised that girls were more receptive toards my openers as my vibe improved. In the same time, I believe that my game was getting better. Nevertheless, anyone who comes here to get the girls will need a tight game. Intermediate and advanced players with exceptional French linguistics skills will gain success here. Newbies like me will have to try hard.Indirect game is inefficient here as girls seem to be irresponsive to the change in topic during the approach.

Night game venues:

Bars here closes early, dead early like around 2 am the latest just like Grenoble. I didn’t do any night game here but there are plenty of bars near Hotel de Ville.

Day game venues :

Rue de la Republique: It is situated near to Bellecour Metro stop. This road has lots of shopping stalls. Huge number of girls pass by this street especially between 5 pm to 7 pm. Make it your primary daygame venue.

Vieux Lyon : The most famous touristic spot in Lyon. I met Australians, Canadians and a Portuguese girl here while daygaming. Don’t forget to visit the castle at the top for a view of city.

Quai de Rhone: You can find many girls just sitting and reading along the river. Good place to approach as long as you don’t creep them out.

Part -Dieu shopping mall : A huge shopping mall, probably the 3rd biggest in France. A famous day game venu for many players. Some Ukrainian guy approached about 40 girls here and got chased out by the guards. Girls here carry a bitch shield, hence avoid this place unless it’s raining outside.

Personal experience : My game improved here. As I wrote above, my vibe was better and my opener worked wonder. But I had problem continuing certain conversation with girls. I still obtained plenty of rejections nevertheless. I didn’t do many sessions here during my 3 weeks stay as I was busy with other stuffs. The vibe of the city was amazing as Euro 2016 was going on in France. I had 2-4 number close, but never called back the girls. Logistics were not great either as I was living in the hall of an apartment with 2 other friends.

Bottom line:

Lyon is a great city which I would love to live in. It has a big population which make daygame quite interesting. It is not as chaotic as Paris and people here are friendlier. If you visit France, do visit Lyon and enjoy the vibe of the city.

City Report : Grenoble, France

City Overview:

Grenoble is a city for students. Every year thousands of student flock in for their education. Its a city surrounded by the Alpes, a paradise for skiers and hikers especially from November to March. Its a 2nd tier city and is in the top 10 city with highest population in France. Its small enough to be conquered by foot but big enough to never be bored.

The girls:

As there are plenty of students, you can expect to meet Erasmus girls and girls from other parts of the world. Germans, Colombians, Spanish, Koreans, you name it. The students are generally very friendly unless they are really in a rush. As there are more girls in the French universities compared to mens, there are basicly less competition. Even the french girls from other part of France are quite polite and friendly. Some people can speak English but French will help a lot. However, the local so called “Grenobloisses” can be quite cold. There is a saying in France that the more south you go in France the more hostile are the locals and Grenoble proves it.

I recommend direct game with the students. They are more open and are ready to meet new guys especially if you come from a different culture like me. However, indirect game is better with the local ladies here as they dont want to be seen with a stranger by their family or friends. The French care too much about their reputation, as you can’t change it play along. Day game is preferred around the campus on weekdays, while night game is a must on Thursday, Friday and Saturday. Do hit the Erasmus Party as its normally a pussy fest while guys there have no game at all. But remember, its a average sized city, hence its possible to accidently cross path with a girls you approached before so make most out of each approach.

Night game venues:

Bars here closes early, dead early like around 2 am the latest. However, there are 3 main night clubs that anyone can go:

  1. L’Impérial(the biggest, frequented by all class of people)

  1. Le Pheonix(Mostly frequented by students)

  1. Le Vertigo(The best in the city centre, lots of young girls of legal age of course)

Day game venues :

  1. Campus(Area around Bibliotechque Universitaire)- Students passing by all the time especially at lunch time and around 5 pm after classes.

  2. Victor Hugo – City Center of Grenoble with a big square, Lots of shopping stalls here, suggested on Saturdays.

  3. Parc Paul Mistral – The biggest park in Grenoble. Approach here on a sunny summer day or on Sundays when people are relaxing.

  4. Grand Place – A shopping mall which is not that big, but a good place to approach if the weather is bad. Frequented by young Arab liberals.

Others :

Living cost here is basiclly the same as other 2nd tier cities in France. A good place to stay and study. But nothing much to be visited except the mountains. Transport is cheap at 1,50 euros for one way in trams or buses. Hostel cost from 15-20 euros per day while a 20 m² studio appartment in the city centre cost no more than 400 euros per month.

Personal experience :

I stayed here during the last three months of my studies. Girls in Erasmus party were quite receptive but I could not close the deal as my game was not that good(I am a beginner). However, I had few dates which led to one make out session with a local girl. I got lots of number, but most of it flaked as my game was not tight enough. Newbie might suffer, at least an intermediate level of game is needed.

Bottom line:

This is one of the best student cities out there in France ranking second just after Toulouse. Its very lively with plenty of activities during the schooling periods, but its pretty dead during summer. Go for it if you love mountain activities or the Alpes between September to April.
